honda 300 trx

Default honda 300 trx

this goes back to earlier topic honda 300 running on choke.well i put another carb on and same result.when adjusting valves i noticed the edge of cam lobes had a ridge like excessive cam lobe wear.what would cause this and is this the root of my problem.

That is a problem. It is causing improper valve timing. So the valve is opening and closing when it should not be, which could very well be wreaking havoc on your engine. You may even have the valve hitting the piston if it is opening at the wrong time. I would ask one of the experienced Honda Mechanics for an exact interpretation, but I am pretty sure that the cam wear indicates your problem.
