I have a 1985 Honda 125 atv three wheeler that will not fire. I can get a small responce in voltage from the Alternator wire that goes to the cdi but nothing from the cam trigger generator. I can't get any ohm reading from it either.

Is there some way to eleminate the ignition components other than with an OHM meter? If so pleasee help me out. I've been working on this thing for a couple of weeks and getting nowhere.

ive been fighting a similar problem but everything on mine checked good,yet no spark. i would try changing the pulse generator on the upper part of the motor, as its usually what is broken. I have seen it about 20 times in my lifetime and all but the bike i have it got it running

 

Please let me know if the trigger coil did the trick and got you going.
