Default 350x conversion

Well, Im nearing the final stages of the 250x/350x conversion, and its really starting to come together! Just some wiring issues, the custom headpipe to the muffler and the oil relocation is basically all i need to have it running.
Which brings me to my question on the oil cooler, for those that have done this conversion, or those that have any ideas, what is the easiest way to do this? I talk to a local engine shop that agreed to help on getting new oil fittings and such for the cooler. I asked about the flexible tubing instead of the metal lines, he didnt have that size of tubing since the metal stuff is metric. So one; he has slightly bigger tubing that he might be able to use, would that make a difference in how the oil is cooled if the diameter is bigger? other than basically just the quantity of oil in the engine going up. Two, if not, where should i mount the cooler that is out of the way but in the best spot possible for cooling oil? Its hard to find a place in front since the metal lines are still attached to the cooler. Any info would help.
As for the rest of the quad, its copmletely awesome!! I used the stock 350x swingarm on the frame, made my own mount for the upper rear of the engine, decided to go with a 450r muffler out the back , 250r a arms in front which is cool. I have the 250x stock shocks on the front right now just so its sitting on the ground, however it does look pretty bad **** with it low and wide in the front and high in the back. kinda like an old muscle car lol, Also threw on a goki starter for it too, courtesy of ebay at about 150 bucks less than what i would have paid for the thing brand new, and its hardly been used! So basically there has been lots of custom little things having to be made or attached somehow but its turning out nice. I posted a couple pics on my profile so looky.

Any ideas on the oil cooler let me know!

Default 350x conversion

i mounted my oil cooler on the frame up front on the other side of right shock jus behind the bumper ahead of the header with tabs welded to the frame. then i cut the metal lines about an one an half to two inches from hondas ends and went to advanced and got some fuel line since theres not a real great amount of pressure and it hose clamped it to the ends and routed it thru the frame avoiding as much heat as possible and it has worked so far. it takes a little bit more oil but it was hardly noticable less than a 1/4 quart. i love the conversion so far the only problem i have had is getting the airbox to connect to the carb i have the 350x carb on it what did you do for that use the 250 carb ?
hope that helps you out

Thanks for the help! I'll have to try that. As for the carb, im gonna go with the 350x carb, however i had to make a 2 inch connection between the carb and the airbox so i just got some larger diameter rubber hose. Not to the point of starting the quad yet but soon, and hopefully that extra little space doesnt screw up the carb settings.

I just picked up a 450r muffler, gonna have a local muffler shop extend the stock header out a bit and do some pipe bending between the header and the muffler. Probably wouldnt need to rejet that much if at all i would think. Not a pro on jetting tho. any thoughts/ideas?
