taking apart diff now axle

maybe on the plate that actually holds the brake shoes on but im talking about the hole that the shoes come out of when you take it apart and if thats what you are talking about then no i dont see any bolts.

but you didn't have to touch the brakes... im lost. are you still trying to slide the axle out of the differential?

yea, and i took the outer right side of the diff off and thats it and it held the brake shoes in there so they came out
