still hope for us 300ex owners

If you are like me and purchased a 300ex before the 400 came out dont worry.I got tired of the 300 not getting any more attention in any of the atv magazines once the 400 came out.My 300 will now put any 400ex to the test ,I have drag raced many of them and i never have had any problem beating them by at least a bike's length.Im sure swapping out the old 350x head will make plenty of more power than mine ,but you dont need all that. I have a 333 big bore kit, 38mm keihin carb, fast track web cam, k&n filter, and a fmf megamax among other suspesion goodies to keep all the extra power stable.Im not trying to brag about my 300ex, but i just wanted every faithfull 300 owner to know that they dont have to run out and purchase a 400ex or use the 350x setup to be competitive. I am also a 300EX owner. But I didn't buy mine before the 400EX came out. I bought it after. I went rode them both and bought the 300. I wasen't that impressed with the 400. I'm sure that they are a nice quad. But half the people go and by them because is a "400EX". Through a 400EX sticker on the side of a 300 and half of the people wouldn't know the difference.
Anyway, now I can step off of my soapbox.
I like what you have done with your 300. Sounds like a sweet setup. I live here in Minnesota, and over the 11 month winter I am going to upgrade my 2000 model 300EX. I was wondering what reliability issues you were having with the big bore kit? If any. I plan on making my 300 blow away a warrior, blaster and yes, even a 400EX. And for thoughs that think it is impossible. Anything is possible.
What kind of tires do you run? Suspension? Other stuff?
Post some more info. I know that there are more people interested than just me....

The 333 kit consists of a cylinder sleeve, and a high comp. piston. the reliability is as good as stock as long as the work is done right, but you do need to make sure that it does,nt run hot, i had to add a Jagg oil cooler for 189.00, the high compression piston will certanly create more heat.As for suspension i went with the dual rate works shocks, because they are great and inexspensive for the quality that you get. I am now riding on Maxxis Razr's but soon i will switch to 18-11-8 turf tamer's in the rear when the Razr's wear down.
