Dunno if its set up the same as my Foreman, but the drum does slide straight off. Make sure you have the brakes adjusted all the way back (slack) and you may have to use a pry bar and hammer (carefully) to presuade it off if it hasnt been taken apart in awhile.

I just did my 300fw brakes a few weeks ago. The drum does catch the shoes on the way off, I find hammering dont work since the shoes are on springs, once they begin to tilt they just snag the drum tighter as you pull or bang on it. It helps more to turn the axle little by little as you pull the drum off a bit at a time, and like action says make sure the slack is all the way out on the hand and foot brake cables.

Hey action:

Are those rear tires on backwards? Shouldn't that tread be pointing the other way?

No prob

One more thing I forgot: There might be a small rubber ring on the axle that fits against the brake drum, thats a seal. Sometimes it snags and keeps you from pulling the drum off.

hello,

The foreman has drums all around, the rear drum is out in the wheel on the back so its harder to see. Those are old pics and of my old tires, they were on backwards because of the way they had worn. I'm now running ITP Mud Lite XTR radials (installed in the right direction LOL)Check out my pic site www.sledsooley.com, on the left you'll see and Area51 Gallery, I have a bunch of pics up there of work I'm currently doing on my foreman.
