I have an 87 250x and saw a cobra exhaust system on ebay for like 80 bucks. With the head pipe. Is that worth it? I just want a nice deep sound to my quad and some performance too. thanks

From what I've seen (and heard) of Cobra pipe/silencers, they produce a niceLOUDsound and very little performance, which may well be the reason you saw it for sale
I's suggest that you save a litle more money & get another brand.

SuperTrapp IDSII.. very good pipe, not too loud, but a good throaty sound! I like it!

 

I got an idea. Take off your silencer and paint "cobra" on your head pipe and you pretty well have a cobra exhaust.

 

I used to have a cobra headpipe and muffler for my olf TRX250, it cost me 85 new! It really was loud and sounded as poor as a DG. Save your money for a White Brothers, DMC, and Supertrap IDSII, the FMF Megamax II is decentr also.

I love my supertrapp, hated my cobra! the head pipe was rusting out badly.

To me the best bang for your buck is supertrapp IDS II. its only 239 complete with head pipe, and a fluid res relocator.

The whole white bros setup a lot more..the head pipe is 123 along.

But then again, its a great pipe too. But i couldn't justify it.

Pipes don't add that much anyways...just sound/look cool.
