Does anyone know anything about the Cabelas Trail Tamer 2000 winch, it is a cheaper version winch with smaller cable. If anyone has one I would like to know on how it performs or would I be better off spending more on the Warn winch.

 

roc-ron, go with the Warn winch. You will be much happier with it and the quality has been established for a lot of years in the military and a heck of a lot of serious 4-wheeling gurus.
I have seen a few Superwinches not do very well up here in Alaska. Just my $.02 worth.

 

I opted for a Warn 2500 winch for my Rancher. It might be overkill when compared to the 2000. Warn seem to be the best winch out there.

I am one of those people who believe you get what you pay for. Good luck on your choice.
