They were way out and the exaust valve needs reseating and I will do that tomorrow.I set the vaves on it at a tight 5 and it still would'nt run.Thats when I pulled the head to find the exaust valve had lost its seat.I hope after I lap em in and put it back together it will fire up(cross your fingers ) hehe

 

I have set the valves after lapping them in and checked the comp. it just wont start,it tries just a little,driving me crazy

If you have compression, air, fuel and spark it will run.

 

It must be out of time,I need to check the timing gear I guess

 

How much compression do you have?
