2 strokes in national forrests

Generally speaking, 2 strokes are only limited by their registration, (Red sticker, or Green sticker). If OHV use is allowed in the Forest Service area that you wish to ride, then as long as you have current tags, and a Forest Service approved SPARK ARRESTOR, you will be legal. If you are still unsure, try calling or visiting the Ranger District HQ for your area.... They will be glad to let you know what is legal.

The nat. forests tend to be somewhat autonomous in regard to their restrictions on quads of any type and bikes also. Here in the Coconino Nat. Forest, in order to ride any maintained dirt or other surfaced road the machine must be street legal & licensed. Unmaintained two tracks can be ridden with just a spark arrestor.
