02 Rubicon (HELP)
I recently took my Rubicon to a shop to have my blinking gear indicator problem looked at, I was riding one Saturday, stopped to take a break when I got back on and turn the key the gear selection indicator was blinking. Now I took it in to have it looked at and they told me the angle sensor was bad but I could still ride in D1-D2,but could not ride in ESP.But when I got home everything including the ESP worked. So my question is, was resetting the only thing that needed done, or is my angle sensor actually bad? PLEASE HELP I'M CONFUSED HERE.

02 Rubicon (HELP)
Do a search on this forum for RUBICON RESET PROCEDURE.
ive had to do it to my 2002 rubicon 3 or 4 times over its life.
Worked everytime. (but one)
Also over the 6 years I have also removed the ECM from the rear of the atv once when I was having problems and the reset did not work. and clean it with electric parts cleaner at the connections.

02 Rubicon (HELP)
I had a 2001 Rubicon with the computer over the rear trunk, I also had trouble with the blinking gear selector and I replaced the angle sensor and speed sensor, neither one repaired the problem. If you have alot on miles on your bike you might consider removing the rear trunk, disconnecting the wires from your computer and check the wire harness just ahead of the computer where the harness takes a sharp bend up over the frame, this is a common chafe spot. This was my problem and it has taken six months to locate it with several trips to the dealer and they could not help me, because this was an intermitting problem. Also to retreive the error codes from you rubicon hold the two shift buttons on the left handle bar in while turning the key on, then release the buttons and push them in and hold them for several seconds and the dash will start blinking codes. I do not have the manual in front of me to tell you what the codes are or what the problem could be. Good luck
