Congrats! My 2x4 cam from Southern Honda. Not the friendliest place but the prices are hard to beat.

Like the color!

I had a 2wd Rancher 350. It was surprisingly sporty...and the 420 should be even better! It doesn't have that extra 30+ pounds of weight on the front end where it does the most harm, like the 4wd does.

Southern Honda has a couple of guys that are only nice if they are making money off you. I had one that once he found out that I was paying this in full when buying....he didnt care to help me anymore. (they only make money off acces. and financing). I dropped him and picked up another guy and he didnt care about money and only cared about helping me the best he could. I have to admit though that I feel like I knew more about them than they did which kinda sucked but oh well. Got the quad for 4133.00 plus some extras so I cant complain. I put about 50 miles on it over the weekend and I really like it. My brother has a 4yr old Kawasaki 360 full auto and I could smoke him. The quad seems to go through the gears quick and I like that. I would have to switch to 2nd kinda easy or it would pull the tires off the ground. I was surprised how easy it would do that. Also, it seems that 1st gear is like a granny gear. You can pull out in 2nd if you want and dont even feel like you are missing a gear. It seems to climb really well also, a little tricky with the wife on the back and of course there were hills that I climbed solo that I wouldnt with her with me. I changed the oil and diff fluid at about 20 miles (thanks reconranger for the info) that was easy also. Overall, I am very pleased with it. Guess I am not telling you guys anything that you dont already know. Cant wait to really take this thing out. I just had it around my parents house this weekend on mostly logging trails.

Also, it maxes out at 56 mph. Thats plenty fast enough but wondering why. It sounds like the engine would do more but it starts cutting out at this speed. Is this a sensor cutting off the gas flow or maybe something in the tranny? Just curious.

Jrafter. I would like to know some more about that pipe. How much extra HP, ease of install, etc. if you dont mind sharing.

i put and HMF pipe on it....it takes about 1/2 hr to put on......when you do you need to unbolt the head pipe so everything lines up.

put adding an HMF you need to add a power commander or you will run lean which isnt good.

i dont know how much the pipe alone will add because i had the power commander aadd at the time.

but its a torq monster

HMF Pipe

That shows the pipe and talks about the "Dobeck Gen.3 EFI programmer that is required for use with this exhaust" and has a link to it. For both it looks like about 500 bucks. Does this sound about right? Like I said...I dont mind putting out the money if its worth it...just the extra piece doubles the price of the pipe and I want to make sure that its worth the money. Thanks again.

hmmm. I guess my 07 was a fluke. That yellow does look good though. And it is a great all around quad.

There is a speed sensor which limites the speed to 56 mph. You got a good price (same as quoted to me on the 07).
