Hey guys. Thank you all for your help on deciding what quad to get. I went to Southern Honda the other day and picked up my new quad. Here are a couple pics from after my first ride of course.

I will be picking up some wheels, tires, and winch soon. I was going to get the 4x4 but everyone that I ride with only has 2x4...so I figured that if they cant get through something....then what's the need for me to. Thanks again guys.

Nice, but why didn't you get a 2007 model and take the $500 in bonus cash?

I want a 2x4 Rancher for the wife and that is my plan. I'm just hesitant to do it with the economy right now.

Well. I kinda wanted to...but the 07 didnt come in yellow. Thats a lot of money to waste on just a color...but you dont know my wife. lol. She really liked the yellow and anything that I could do to get her more excited about getting it...I would agree with. I kinda liked the blue..but the yellow looked a lot better than the blue when they were sitting next to each other on the sales floor.

I have a couple questions about the HMF pipe. I was reading that you need some extra piece in order for it to work on the rancher. That sets the total pipe price at about 500+. Is it really worth the money? What kinda of difference do you see? I dont mind dropping the money as long as its worth it.

BTW...I have a seat for her...just had it off cause of just washing it. Her helmet is in the mail too. Trust me....its hard to ride without the little one....and safety first of course.

Its not my wife's quad...its mine but I got it for her to ride with me. I liked the yellow...and she loved it...so I spent the extra just to make her more interested. Like I said...I dont mind spending money on something if its worth it...and I havent really read a whole lot about the pipe yet so I was just wondering.

I do have one question though. The quad will backfire sometimes when slowing down...usually downshifting into second. Is this normal? I have about 50 miles on it now and it does it about 40% of the time when slowing it down.

Backfireing when new is normal. It should quit once its broke in.

I have a Red 07 Rancher and I like the look of the Blue (was only avail in the 2x4). Hopefully they will still be there when we make up our mind. Bonus Bucks on that model is avail till the end of August. If we don't get a second Quad this year then it looks like I get a Foreman in White with Pwr Steering next year.

Very excellent buy. I take my wife and child with me all time. We had some great family adventures together. Backfiring is normal and will stop pretty soon. The gas mileage is awesome as well. Yeah I would suggest a winch, it saved me a lot of trouble a few times.

back firing is normal......after i added the power commander and pipe it went away.......and yes 2up riding i think the pipe and PC111 would help alot

there are only 2 pipes out know so theres not much to look for.

ive had mine since sept....and have done most every thing you can do to it.

ask me anything if you need........its a great quad
