What is the top speed for a 2001 4x4 Rancher ES? I have a new one with less than 100 miles on it and it appears that about 42mph is the top end. Is this the norm ??

I own a 2000 RancherES 4X2 and my speedo registers 53 mph on a hardpacked shell road. I weigh 175 lbs.At the time I checked it, my quad had 200 miles on it.

I also get 53-53mph...and I weigh 240....sounds like you may need to take it back for adjustments.

My friend has a 4by4 es, and it goes 83kph(52mph)with 1600miles, and my dad's 2wd, with about 100 miles goes 85kph(53mph). As the 2wd breaks in, I think it will go 54mph or more. They certinally seem snappier after they are fully broken in.

The fastest is around 51 mph for the ES 4x4 version. No motor or exhaust mods.

53 mph is as fast as the rev limiter in mine will let me go.

I called the dealer today and his explanation was that the motor was still too tight to run any faster. He suggested I run it the 30 hours, service it and bring it in after that if the speed didn't improve. Make any sense to anyone??

I have both a 4x4 ES and a 2x4 ES and they will top out at an honest 51 mph.I have already adjusted the valves aligned the front end and had
5 psi of air in all four tires before doing this.
