Silver Lake is about an hours drive north of Muskegan, MI. About 2000 acres of sand dunes.

It would be about a 9 hr drive from Youngstown,OH. If you go watch out for the Polaris roost I believe there will be some fast 400`s there.
BTW If your going to make insults, make them specific not a general all "Polaris Guys". Were not all the same. Just like we now see from your posts all Honda guys are not the same.

I apologize for putting all the Polaris riders into a group, but I did however change that in a later post to "the notorious Polaris guys", I thought everyone knew which Polaris riders I was talking about. Sorry
Are there any wooded trails to ride on there? To tell you the truth, I am not much of a dune fan. I think we need to find a place that has a little of everything, a track of some sort, some good hills, and maybe a place to have some drag races. I have a friend that has a real life size X-mas tree that he said I could barrow for the drag races. Maybe it should be in central USA, so it would be close to all of us.
I'm sure there will be lots of fast bikes! I am not going to be the fastest, I am going to have fun. My 400ex is all stock and I plan to keep it that way, for reliability reasons. I didn't buy it to be the fastest guy on the trail, I bought it to ride fast, have some fun, and park it until the next time I decide to ride. I have a race car I have to turn wrenches on, and that stuff is getting to be like work.Anymore, I like the thought of "hit the starter and go ride"!

Hey, I'm planning on going to the poker run. Myself and 2 other guys from the forum. ScramblerDrew and Bigcrashchris. Maybe we can all met out there. Gonna be my first weekend there.
Yeah, a Honda guy going with 2 Raptors (drew use to have a polaris), is this real!?
Yes, we all have out little "outbursts" online, but the bottomline is that we all enjoy our sport and want to boast our manufacturer of choice. I about lost it when I found out that I was riding with Drew. He and I had some pretty hot conversation online, but he's a great guy who likes to ride. Isn't that all that matters really?
Just my two cents worth.
Jim
By the way, Gabe is a great guy. I don't know how he does it all (work, ride, wrench, experiment, keep a email forum going, and all of this and he has a suporting girlfriend.) hat's off to Gabe.

Hey Quad pappy aka Quadfather! I am planning to head to Silver Lake this spring for the group ride with the boys from Canada et al.. I was glad to read your post that you may attend. You have one of the sharpest Scramblers I have seen & I would love to see how that machine performs I think everyone trying to get together for a ride is an excellent idea I just look at it this way the more people you know the better.
Ps any advice how a pharmacist can retire at 35 I would really like to hear It would be much easier going to work knowing I only had to work for 9 more years!!!
Take care and have a great week!!
