Is everyone as happy as I am that this guy is riding a Honda? I love when the Raptor and Polaris guys get going about "My Raptor beat this" or "My Polaris did that",and then GABE steps up to bat! He hits a GRAND SLAM for Team Honda every time!
He comes prepared, he loads up the truck with ammo (race stats, MX finishes, HP stats ect...), and goes to war. It's like having Lennox Lewis in your corner to back you up when Mike Tyson bites your ear off. When Gabe gets through with the Raptor and Polaris guys, they look like they are in Vietnam with a BB gun!
Gabe knows his stuff, and you know it when you read his replies, they are just brilliant. Thanks Gabe, I hope you never switch from Honda!


PS) This is the Honda forum! So if you ride another make don't bother replying, because the Raptor owners have read to many Yamaha Ads, and the Polaris guys have been sniffing too many burning belts to make any sense and admit reality!

 

You better throw some moeny in to that 400ex to make it compete with the Raptor

 

I do agree that Gabe is one of the most intelligent of posters. He does support his claims with verifiable data.

I ride a Polaris and read the Polaris site often. This site is full of people that refuse to accept reality. You can find many thoughtful and helpful people also. I like my modded Polaris. I know it IS NOT the fastest quad in all situations.

It seems that many Yamaha boys have too much of an emotional investment in their Raptor to admit any faults. I think it was IHATEMYRAPTOR that has been savagely attacked for daring to admit the Raptor has faults.

Quads are too fun to be so mean spirited about what others ride. Good natured teasing is one thing, but many go beyond this.

Yes I will agree this guy does know his stuff in the honda forum. But what makes him an expert about the raptor.

You probably don't see it when I talk about a machine I try to look at it like how is this machine going to cater to the average person who doesn't race, live in a desert or have groomed trails.

The fact is most people don't have these luxuries and 7k grand.

I'm sorry but if me finding a machine thats versitile and doesn't have a seat so stiff it will send a person with hemorrhoids to thier death bed is a sign of me bashing everyone elses machine then to bad, get over it, move on, I COULD REALLY CARE LESS!!!

SykoQuadRider, I agree, only in a drag race! Other than that, put you magazine down and get out in the real world with real riders and see for yourself what is really going on! The 400ex is still dominating!

paulrn, you are one of the most realistic Polaris owners I have seen. I am in the same mind as you, just have fun! I know I will never beat a Banshee in a drag race on a 400ex! The 400ex was to be the same as the Polaris, a fast trail rider. It just happened to have as good of susension as the R, which made it a force to be wreckend with. I bought the 400ex to be on the trail, not to be the fastest, and it's not I admit that. You are an honest man!

scramdaddy400, I have read all of your posts, and every one SCREAMS "POLARIS IS KING"! I have seen your post that the scrambler has 36 hp and the Raptor has 38, and you say "what is the big deal over 2 HP?". The big deal is the Scrambler is carrying an extra 100lbs! Also, you don't look at how the machine will cater to the average rider, you post all these crazy #'s, and try to prove that Polaris is in the hunt for a High Performance title! Polaris is too heavy to keep up, they do no excel or win in any catagory, not handling, not power, and certainly not low wieght! Get off your High Horse and admit that Polaris is nothing more than a fun, reliable trail bike, and nothing more! You seem to live on stats of Top Speed and HP, they do not make the Polaris keep up, or any other bike, handling is the name of the game!
As far as Gabe "being an expert" about the Raptor, he races them week in and week out! He knows what wins! And as of yet, it isn't the Raptor! We all know that you do not race to even find out how fast on the track the Raptor or 400ex are, if you did race, you would not be on a Polaris! You would be on a winner! (that being anything but a Polaris)

The rest of the crowd seems to be in touch with reality! With that, I will set the bar up, and everyone who had a reply here, this round is on me! Even the non Honda guys! Get everyone in the house a beer!

Gabe DOES write well (that fact alone is enough to get him bashed throroughly on this Forum!).

BTW; I, too, miss TxDoc2's posts, as someone mentioned on this topic; TxDoc2 always had something of substance, personal observation and experience to say; plus, he said it very well.
