I was wondering if you could make atvs street legal in maine.

 

i know you can buy street legal kits for atv's but you'll have to call the state and ask what they require

 

Where abouts in Maine do you live? I'm stationed in Eastport in Washington County, and alot of the surrounding towns allow atv's on the roads while traveling from one trail to the other. They even post speed limit signs for atv's.

I live in cooper. And Lubec (sometimes). Ya so im probably not gonna need to buy any kits for my quad. I was just wondering if they allowed them to be street legal.

I am thinking of putting a Quad on the road in California, anyone know what specific state to state laws are? I guess its legal if you have all the correct street modifications and licensing. How much does this cost. I've ridden dirtbikes and quads when I was younger, but thought it would be interesting to put a quad on the road with lights and plates. Any info would be great! Thanks.
