I have a 2001 400ex frame with a motor that went through hurricane katrina. I never did anything with the motor and its locked up. (no big deal) I have a brand new 2007 400ex. My question to everyone is What motor options do i have for my old 400ex frame besides a 400ex? I was thinking along the lines of something faster than the 400ex motor. Ive heard of a cbr motor being installed but what are the other options?

 

I believe a trx 250r engine can be installed I can't think of the company off the top of my head, but am sure someone will refresh it. Welcome to the Forums.

 

Soo does it bolt right on? Are there any major changes? I know that the 250r's are bad @$$ but are they really THAT BAD @$$?!?!? Thanks for the welcome and the relpy!!

 

ive seen them put the crf 450r motor on them i think they make a kit for it...
