Default Makeing atv water proof

Its almost the end of the school year we have like 2 days left. Ima be doing lots of atving. I will be rideing in lots of water and sum mud. We talking like 4 to 6 feet deep of water.
What do I need to do to make my atv water proof. The last time i went deep my atv kept cutting out whenever i went deep. It dosent cut out in shallow water only in deep water. I was told to get some dielectric grease and put it in my spark plug booth. Wouldent the dielectric grease like melt when the moter gets hot?

What else do i need to do to make my atv water proof. So I could stak in the water for hours.
