As soon as i start the 4 wheeler the shift numbers on the display start blinking. Its blinks 3 times then pauses and then blinks 3 times again. What code is this for.

The electric shift does not work at all. Ive pulled the front fender off and checked the connectors for water and found none. Where should i look next? Shifts fine manually. Only 40 hours and out of warranty just ran out.

 

Code #3 is "angle sensor system" .. Did you check/clean/grease the angle sensor coupler ..

 

could you explain more about this sensor and what is actually does? Where is it located on the atv? Thanks

 

I have the same wheeler as you(and also have the Honda manual for it). It's a sensor located on the lowest point of the engine right in front. Removed the side shields below your seat to gain visiual access to the engine. You will see a sensor in the very front on the bottom with an aluminum looking shield in front of it and a wiring harness coming in from the top. thats your sensor. unhook it and check for water, clean it out and put dielectric grease into the connection.
