Default Foreman 500 w/ PS?

I've been reading these threads lately and was wondering why so many people own the Foreman 500? Is it because of the cost. do you like the SRA? the simplicity of the machine? the manual shift? Engining braking? etc....

I have a '07 Rincon and thinking of going back to the Foreman w/ PS. Any thoughts on why SO many people buy the Foreman over a Rincon. I know that the new 420 Rancher will probably do circles around a Foreman. But, theres something about the Foreman I really like.......
any thoughts would be great.

Though the Rancher is a snappy machine, I think the Foreman has a bit more low end torque, and although it is only a little bigger physically, somehow it feels more roomy.

I like the Foreman's compression braking, but when it comes to fast riding over rough stuff for 100+ mile days I couldn't live without the Rincon's IRS ride. Power steering would be nice when you smack a hidden rock or something, but I still personally wouldn't give up IRS for power steering.

Maybe sometime in the not too distant future Honda will get their act together and come out with an IRS machine with power steering and a rock crawling low gear.

JeffinTD, Thankx for the input. I would love to have a IRS w/Manual shift or ES. That would be a nice machine.
I just thought that there would be more Foreman riders out there to explain why they own a Foreman.

I don't know about the 500s, my buddy has one that has been upside down in creeks before and still doing well, although we drain the motor like you're supposed too...I like my '04 Foreman 450 because I have 7238 miles on it and all I've ever done motor-wise is have the valves adjusted once..she starts if you breathe on the ignition button! Granny gear is great on mine too, but the IRS on your's is tempting..

I rode one this last weekend, I was impressed with its nice ride and easy steering other than it being smaller than my Polaris sportsman physically it would have been my second choice, its a sweet ride for the price and still runs pretty good.

Yeah! The top speed of my Rinny is around 54mph. Even w/ EFI and a exhaust tip added. My friends 2004 rinny being rejetted and the same tip. he is faster than me.
I like the rinny but, living in the hilly upstate NY. I miss my engine braking that my 450ES had.
