I just bout and 08 700xx yesterday and i love it. I also have a 450r that i love but the 700 is just a torque monster anyone who says these things dont have any power is wrong. My 450r has exhaust, jets, air filter, state 2 cam, cdi, and scary fast power now and my 700 is all over that thing by 3-4 lenths. The 700 is also great on the track its a little heavy but the suspension is amazing. Anyone who has any questions let me know. I reccomend this to anyone who loves trails and power.

Congrats on the new bike! Souds as if you are enjoying it as mutch as I enjoy my 700R. Torque is a pretty amazining thing to have on a sport quat it will take you allot more places than people would'nt think!

Since you are one of the first on the forum to have a 700xx I was just qurious if you are having some of slow takeoff in first (as in not low enough gearing) gear problems that some of the others are having?

yea 1st isnt the best gear for torque but once you hit 2nd it really picks up but I mean if you gun it you get in 2nd pretty quick so its not a big issue.

Saw the Dirt Wheels shootout with the Raptor. Didn't have time to read it, so I went right to the conclusions. I caught a sentence that said something like...."it is a shame to make a 500 pound sport quad". I have never liked the Kawi 700 or the DS 650 either, just for that very reason.

Hahaha it's like comparing the light sport compact cars to 1960s muscle cars, the muscle cars may be heavier, but they have a whole crapload of torque to push that weight!! The sport compact is power challenged compared to the big engine muscle cars, but its light and handles well. The 700XX takes that big engine power, and puts it in a well suspended frame designed to handle well. If you throw a sway bar on that baby, maybe a new pipe and tires, it'd be a killer machine I think.
