2008 rubicon cnd trail

anybody else having their oil / coolant high temp light coming on fairly often? Mine is brand new and on maiden voyage I had the light come on briefly 10 - 15 times but only for a very short period of time. Is this normal?

Welcome to the forum.
No, that's not normal. Is the coolant level and oil level OK? Does the fan come on?
Anyway, if it's brand new, I'd bring it back to the dealership since it's under warranty.

No. I've ridden Rubicons also, and the light doesn't come on if everything is working well.
You said you went through some mud... Was it deep enough that it got in the radiator? It doesn't take too much mud to cause overheating problems...
