300EX rocker or cam knocking

as in pull the valve inspection covers off and tightin them nuts on the rockers? they were tight, when i felt them.

Yes, they probably need adjustment. They usually do only a couple tanks into a rebuild.

Are you race cutting the fenders or just sanding down an edge.

I would use a pneumatic cut off wheel to cut them, 180 grit sand paper to knock off the rough edges and 320 grit to smooth it out.
