Does a 2000 Honda Recon only have a taillight and no brake light? I noticed the taillight works fine but when you hit the brakes it doesn't get any brighter. I The bulb is very small so I don't know if that is the reason?

 

My '04 Recon only has a tail light - no brake light. Thus the red tail light is only lit when the headlights are on. I also have a Rancher that has both tail lights and brake lights,

If you want to have brake lights on the Recon, I've read where guys have added LEDs within the plastic light fixture, and added some contact switches and wiring to the brake levers. I was thinking of doing this mod some day,
