Default Need help with a 1987 Foreman 4X4 350

My friend has a 1987 Honda Foreman 4X4 350. Sometimes the machine will start right up and run for about 30 minutes (drive it around) or it will start up run for a few minutes and then die. Just before it dies the oil temp light comes. Then when we go to start it we would have to wait for awhile.
I think the oil temp sensor is bad. Does anybody know how to check one or where its located?
I think the machine thinks that its hot so it turns off to protect the motor.

Thanks for your help.

Mike

The TRX350 used 2 types of ignition but neither have an ECM type ignition that would or might monitor engine temp .. I guess the engine could get hot and possibily the exciter or pulse generator break down ..

Here is the temp sensor test ..

Honda Mechanic,
If its not the sensor what else do you think it might be?
