Im looking at buying a 2000 Honda fourtrax 300 thats a fixer upper. Both the electric start and the kickstart is not working. Does anyone know what would be the worst case senario I would be looking at in terms of work and dollars spent to fix both. The machine is a steal of a deal, which is why I am thinking about buying it.

 

Is the kick start not catching the engine or is it catching the engine and you can't kick it? What I'm getting at is the engine isn't locked up is it?

 

the engine runs good, he says that it just needs to be bump started

 

O well then I'd get it then. Just put you a new electric starter on it and catch out.
