Help. Battery Installed wrong created problems
#1
I have a 2003 RancherES 350. It needed a new battery so I took the old one to Sams Club and matched one up. Turns out the positive and negative posts were on opposite sides. It really created problems when I installed the correct one. The display flashes on and off, electric shift and electric start will not work. This bike ran geat prior to this battery install. I'm getting ready to take it to the shop but thought I'd check her first.
Thanks for any ideas, and solutions.

No on the new battery the cables would not reach to the correct post. I actually put the new battery in my rubicon, and put the old rubicon battery in the rancher. Black cables to negative, Red to positive.
Thanks

If you accidnetly swapped posative and negative when installing the battery you could have damaged the electronics. Hopefully all you did was blow a fuse, check the main bike fuse and all the small ones. On my foreman they are all under a black cover marked "fuse" close to the battery.
