Has anyone out there had their valves adjusted at their dealer? If so, about how much did it cost and did you notice any performance change. Thanks.

My dealership said I didn't have to have the valves adjusted on my Rancher after break in. I know some people have had it done anyway, so I would like to hear if they noticed any change.

I had them adjusted at it's first service(20Hrs).I didn't notice the difference.I am about due to have a 100 hr service done and was thinking about doing it myself. The first service was almost $150. After looking in repair manual it apears to be a lot of work.

Both of my quads were out of specs after the initial 100 miles. Adjusting them is easy. The hard part is getting to them. You have to remove body panels, gas tank, etc. My dealer wanted like $150 for the initial service. Not a chance. Buy the service manual ($48), feeler guages ($3), and a torque wrench ($50) and you are good to go. You will use the service manual throughout the life of the quad. You SHOULD use the torque wrench for every bolt on the quad. So the only expense for this is the feeler guages.
