What do you all think of this article? I am thinking that it is a tossup between the Pro circuit and the WB E-series. Here's why, they have about the same powerband and are the same dB level. The question of the day is do you give up about 1 horsepower for about 500rpm near peak to lose 1.5 lbs?

I was intrigued that the advertised as amazingly quiet Powercore IV2 was 5dB louder than the E series in which I thought was a loud pipe. Thank goodness I didn't buy the FMF. I would have been really mad. I think 95dB is too loud.

I haven't read the article but I am the proud owner of the Powercore IV-2. I was disappointed at how loud this silencer is compared to all the advertising hype about how it is supposed to be fairly quiet. I am getting ready to do Gabe's silencer mod on mine and I'll probobly ebay the FMF and get some of my wifes money back so I can spend it on skid plates.

I've been waiting for DW to do this article for a while now. I have been wanting to buy a slip on for a long time, and i've wanted the E-series but was never sure if it was the best one to get. Now I know that it is the best one for me. I realy liked the fact that thay showed you all the dyno runs.

what about Duncan Double barrel?

dirtwheels ads offer a Duncan kit for less than $600, it's a double header pipe/silencer, airbox removal mod kit, K&N filter, Outerwears, and jetting.

I'd like to see the dyno test on a stock 400EX before and after they put this kit on. And a DB level reading too!

The article was pretty STUPID!!! No, DMC,LRD, Sparks,DoubleBarrel, is there any other pipes I'm missing people???? I know there is more than I mentioned!! Granted, these pipes are not the quietest, but these probably produce more horsepower than about 75% of those tested!!! To me, the article was a waste of time to read and write!!!! Sorry for being so negative but, thats the way I see it!!

My brother and I ran an E series on my 400 and he had a Big Gun on his 400. The Big Gun was much more responsive and the E series was always left behind losing distance as we went through the gears. The Big Gun quad had 200hrs ride time and the E series had 50hrs. Mods were the same for both quads but the E series quad had a rev box, and jet kit, didn't help. Just tells me a dyno doesn't tell the whole story! Sold my E series!
