What size winch would suffice for my Foreman 450... what works good for you?

A 2500 pound winch would generally pull the thing out of most anything, and you could always use a ****** block to double the line if you really got it bound up.

I really like the Warn XT30, with the synthetic cable, and wireless remote, but they are expensive.

I have a Warn 2000lb on my Foreman 450s, its a great product that has caused very little trouble over the last 10 years. I also have the warn accessory kit which has a treesaver strap and a snatchblock. The snatchblock has been very handy as when hooked up correctly it will double the power of the winch.

If I were buying new I'd have the Warn 2500 or Warn 3000lb with synthetic winch rope.

On the subject of accessory kits, a buddy of mine got the Warn kit, and I got the Tusk kit. The Tusk kit was much cheaper (like $40), the parts seem equal quality, plus it comes with a set of gloves, and we both felt the Tusk pouch was better... to the point where he also eventually got the Tusk kit.

The pouch has a bit of extra room in it, that fits an additional tow strap nicely.

I should mention that I'm not related to any atv company or store in any way...

I should also mention that I put a Warn mount plate on my Foreman, but on the Rincon I decided to try one of the KFI mount plates, since it was quite a bit cheaper and I'd heard good things about them on forums. It turned out to be well made, with quality hardware included and good instructions.

When it comes to the winch it's self, though, I've had good luck with Warn, and have talked to quite a few folks who got less than stellar performance out of the cheaper ones.
