Bigger Tires on Rubicon
#1
I bought a parts Rubicon and it came with black/chrome ITP rims and 27" ITP 589M/T on the front and 27" Titan 589's on the rear.
I am hesitant to put to much stress on my tranny b/c I have seen one busted up...
How will these bigger heavier tires wear on my drivetrain/tranny?
Is the wear and tear really worth it?
Thanks

Though bigger, more aggressive tires do increase load and wear on things, I would think the Rubicon could handle those fine.
Whether it's woth it I suppose depends on what kind of riding you do. If you mostly trail ride and don't need the ground clearance or aggressive tread, for example, maybe some 25 or 26" general purpose radials would handle and accelerate better, and vibrate less...
