Honda Recall Announced
Honda should recall all atv's with the ES shifters.
I am a middle age guy and just use it on rare occasions and it has spent more time at the dealer or waiting to go to a dealer than I've had it at home.
Three shifters so far and most of the mileage has been on and off the trailer going to the shop for replacment at $180, $210, and $230---dealer would not warrant it.
A match and extra gas is all it really needs.
Honda---NEVER AGAIN.

yall are bein a lil harsh on honda about this. if you dont like it stop complaining and sell it or dump it and get something else. dont keep takin it back and getting it fixed if you think its just gonna do it again. some things are gonna break or crack and theres not much you can do about it but get over it and move on. the more fancy stuff you get the more stuff there is to mess up. and the more its gonna cost. my 99 300 is still workin fine. the only thing that messed up on it was the winch. and it was a yamaha winch anyways. but other than that its been fine.

What is the proposed fix? I don't think Honda will come up with a tear proof boot and I doubt that the joint will be modified to be safe with torn boot. Is this going to be just a protective shield or what? IAC I don't see what bringing this up has anything to do with Honda bashing. This is just good news to share.

The thing is, we did this topic long ago!!! What brand bashers do, is they read somewhere about a recall, and they post it (sometimes years later!) just to **** somebody off. Not saying that's what is going on here, but for someone to post this out of the blue is kind of suspicious.

Well folks, I did an advanced search of the autors name JBryant. Know what I come up with???? Just two other posts, and they are both about recalls!!!
Either this guy is a great public servant not wanting anyone to miss this topic, or he is a lawyer looking to sue Honda and fishing for clients who might have had a problem!!!
