Hi all, great sight! first some info on me.i'v started riding motorcycles at 13,[i'm 32 now] and had some fast/fun bikes,125,250,490 and a cr500. atv wise i'v rode a hoped up banshee and had a blaster. i'v raced some mx and got 3rd place one time, lol.well to move along i stoped riding for 3 years, then i saw a ad last week with a 86250r at a great price, with a extra brand new motor to boot! i know these are the king of the 4wheelers so i went and looked at it,and had to get it! it's all stock and the new motor is all there! but the tag says it's from a 85atc{3wheeler} it looks like it will bolt right in,but i just want to know if it's the same as the motor on the 4wheeler? first ride i was saying, god why did i stop riding! i allso want to go ahead and replace the bushings/bearings in the frount and rear, any help as to where to get the parts cheap? what about the bronze bushing i see for the frount a arms? go with them or the stock ones? o well got a little long winded so i'll steap away from the keyboard, lol, thanks

Don't think the 85 3-wheel motor will "fit right in" but not positive.

WOOT! i am so lucky! i thought it would bolt up looking at it. now what to do...i need to put new bearing/bushings in the frount end, then go ride it some.maybe i'll put the new motor in and look at rebuilding the old one..then againg best thing for me to do is work on getting it set up for some mx and learing how to ride hard again! great deal on a great atv! bansneezs beware!

Honda of Troy (1-800-755-2112) is a good mail order company,I got pretty much all my stock parts from there. The bearings and seals you want to replace are expensive $300+.I needed to replace mine but was down on cash so I went with a bushing kit from T&M Designworks (that I ordered through Nacs 1-845-246-3086)the bushings replaced the seals in mine making it even stonger than before.but mines an 88' which is a little different than yours.Nevertheless the kit is $110 one third the price of stock.1 year old 30 to 40 hours of riding a week and I can't find any sign wear on them yet.
