Default 450r shocks

What weight rider is a stock 450r set up for? Has to be over 200 pounds. I weigh 175 and the shocks beat me to death. What's the best way to go here? I thought about kfx450 shocks cause they ride good to me. I just can't get enough preload off mine to be comfortable.

Spend the $388 and send them to Works. They ask you how you ride and what you weigh. Then they build them accordingly, with triple rate springs. I did this on my 04 trx and can not ride a stock front end model, now.

The stock shocks are actually excellent (as good as aftermarket), but like you said they may not be set up for your particular weight and type of riding. No big deal...WorksPerformance will fix you up!!! They will respring them, and revalve them for your weight and particular riding conditions!

And no....you can't just pull the shocks off a KFX and expect them to work correctly on the Honda....
