Default Engine Not starting after carb work

I just took apart my carb and cleaned it, toay i put it back together but the friggin repair manual didnt tell me I had to remember how many times i turned the idle mixture screw untill installation, basicly i think its not starting because of the mixture, how do i know where the screw should be/how many turns?

If that is your only problem then start with the screw lightly seated, keep turning it out in 1/4 turn increments until it starts up, then record the position of the pilot screw, then keep turning the screw out until it misses or decreases in speed. Record that position then do the same only turning in. The correct setting is exactly between the two extremes.

If it doesnt start up at all then the mixture screw is not the problem.
