Thanks to all the info! Yea my friend bought the warn winch for his rincon, helped him install it that was fun. looks like a good winch. Yea hopefully ill be going mudding, trailling tuesday. Im so exicited lol. espically getting my rancher! Im like a kid on christmas. lol

 

I gather this is your first ATV?

Have great fun with it, but do be careful. I think Honda still offers to pay for the rider class...

Anyway, I've also had good luck with Warn winches, which would be first on my list of things to get, along with a winch accessory kit and some sort of rack bag (go zipperless if you go with a soft bag).

 

I am thinking about break-in and stuff like that.

I suggest an early oil/filter change, at around 1 hour. Stick with petroleum oil during break-in (~20 hours), then you can switch to a synthetic if you wish.

Do not neglect the valve adjustment at 20 hours (just after it is completely broken-in).

FYI new 420s often backfire. it will pass once broke in but it will scare the crap out of ya.
