Can a Rubicon get any air?
#2
I recently went to Northern Georgia with my, then brand new, Rubicon and the OHV parks there had a lot of "whoops" to jump. I was told by others riding with me that I was getting about 3-5 feet of air depending on the size of the jump. I was not bottoming out, but I can't say that you wouldn't bottom out if the landing area was not angled the way it was where I was riding. The Rubicon is a pretty good jumper in my opinion, although I would probably stick to a sport quad if jumping is really important. I had a 300ex before this and it was a big adjustment moving up to a larger, heavier 4x4 machine. I do not regret my purchase because I love hill climbing and mud and the Rubicon is excellent in both of these areas, even on the stock tires. I am able to keep up with most 300ex and Warrior riders in woods riding, but I am more sore the next day than I would be if I were riding a sport quad.

Some freinds and I went out today and took some pictures of jumping with my ruby ,wolverine. The ruby is a excellent jumper for the type of machine that it is,our jumps were about 3 to 4 feet high and a little over 20ft long and there was no bottoming out but I only weight 150lbs,I don't think I would want to go much more then that. But little jumps just playing around it is awsome.

We all ride sport quads except for one friend that recently got a Rubicon. Man that thing is awesome. He trail rides with us and keeps up unless we hit a long straight away. He has jumped it a bit, but nothing extreme yet. Working on trying to find a pipe and other minor mods for it.
