450R and K&N

Honda 450R 2005 model.
Is a pro flow or similar adapter kit required to make it fit? Or, is there one that will fit the stock intake?
Thanks guys.

Well, I don't want to get into K&N vs. Foam. I was just wondering if the adapter is required or if there is a K&N or foam that will clamp on without buying the adapter plate.

A K&N should be fine, I ran one on my 96 scrambler since I got it in 2000, same filter, came with it, so who knows how old..
Ive cleaned and re oiled only a handfull of times, and just recently discovered its actually a k & n knock off..
No engine problems whatsoever since I've had it, and I do a fair amount of dust riding..
Latley Ive been into foam tho, my 300 just got a nice fat uni, and the scrambler is getting a nice twin air

Errrrr..... I do NOT want this to be a debate over FOAM/K&N guys, please.
I just want to know if there is a clamp on replacement for the stock filter that does NOT require a kit.

Haha, not sure what made me think of this but, that be a good thread for late October, "reconranger's Horror Stories brought to you by K&N".
I'll check around for the filter. Just don't want bro (It's his wheeler) to have to pay for an adapter plate AND filter to get away from stock filter.
