I have two TRX honda atv. I bought a clymer manual to repair the starters and
could not find them listed. I was told my hondas were a 1985 and 1986. The
manual I purchased was a M348.
Can anyone help me out?

85 and 86 both should have starters
They used one of 2 starters in them
One is a Mitsuba and the other kind is made by ND (Denso)
They take different style brush and holder when replacement is needed
Most likely the issue with your quad, brushes
If you want to see a starter parts breakdown, look it up at Ronnie's under OEM parts fiche
