how strog are douglas .160 wheels for all around

I can tell you that the Black label (160) is not as strong as your stock rims..in fact neither are the red label (190) rims. I have had red labels for three years and have replaced one and had to hammer out the beads on others due to rocks, etc. The new Douglas rim with the rolled bead is no doubt much stronger but considerably higher priced. I would say if you confine your riding to very moderate terrain and a casual style the Black Label might be satisfactory, otherwise, put your money in better tires on stock rims.
