06 Rincon vs. 05 Rubicon
There's nothing it really can't do. It is in it's element as a trail quad in tight and rough conditions, and it can be used for work and hauling (though there are better choices if that is your main use for a quad).
It's main weakness is that you do have to use the brakes on steep downhills, and I'd say having to do the gear down kit would make it more expensive to make into a huge tire mud machine than some of the other machines on the market.
There's nothing really you can't do with a Rubicon, either. It works fine as a trail quad, but doesn't have the Rincon's ride over rough stuff. It is a super choice for towing or hauling or plowing.

Like i said i have a 07 Rincon. I dont really feel that its a issue to have to hold the brakes a little on steep downgrades afterall thats what brakes are for. Maybe the fact i have been riding sport quads all my life its no different to pull the brakes for me. I have not found anything yet that the stock gearing couldn't creep over or pull through the deepest mud. I love the automatic 3-speed in the woods shifts perfect for me. There is the option for push button shifting to hold it in a gear for up hills if needed. I have pulled other machines that were BURRIED in the mud out with ease. But like everyone says its like riding your lazy boy through the woods. I love it. You wont be diapointed with one.

Overall they are known for reliability, but you occasionally see a thread where the computer has put the transmission into limp mode, usually due to an angle sensor, dirty connection, or something.
A solid rear axle machine like the Rubicon won't ride as smoothly as an IRS machine like the Rincon, however SRA machines corner flatter, and will handle the hitch weight of a trailer better.
The Rubicon also has low range, so you have the option to use low gears that you don't have on the Rincon.

Although the 680 Rincon is EFI, there were a few threads about the first ones being finicky in REALLY cold weather. Mine's been perfect, but apparently around zero you need to have the battery at full charge.
The Rubicon also starts fine in cold weather. It is carburated, but I believe has an electric heating element. You will have to monkey with the choke, and I think it also has a primer bulb on the side of the carb.
My Foreman starts and runs right off the bat in cold weather, where a buddy's Rubicon might stall if you didn't keep an eye on it when warming up below freezing, so I guess each machine is different.
Anyway, both will likely start easily in the winter, if you keep the gas fresh and the battery at full charge, and use appropriate weight oil (if it is WAY cold).

I GUESS ill put my 2cents into the mix..........if you want to have a nice ride the rincon is better and it does have more power. if you want a UTILITY atv then the rubicon is better. i call a rincon a sport utility the rubicon is a utility there both decent machines with pricing about the same the rincon being a couple hundred bucks more.
