Honda Recon Brakes

Just replaced front brakes and brake handle is soft. pulls back to grip. And still don't have brakes. What am i doing wrong ?

u need to take the wheels back off and adjust the shoes untill there is alittle drag when u spin the hubs by hand. do u have a mantinance manual
