This past weekend my trusty 333ex witch can dust any 400ex or warrior, got upset by a 250r. anyway i should have known, the 250r has got to be the best quad ive ever had the pleasure of riding. So if any of you have decided to go with the 333 bb kit that i have, yes you can eat warriors and 400ex's for breakfast, but dont get too excited the 250r is still to much for my 38 hp 300 to handle.

I am not too sure what is included in the kit but i know of a few plces that do it. FST does but i heard bad thing about there work.
Curtis Sparks does and so does Tom Miller. The last two do great work. I dunno what the accutally displacement of the kits, but it might be like 380 or something like that. In August 1998 ATV Ation had a aritcle about four stroke mxers. check out that magazine. To handel the power you should buy that kit to use 250r aarms and shocks. I got to go i will type more later.

THE Tom Miller has a 398cc kit. I dunno what it comes with or what it cost. Sparks has a 366cc kit for a 250x so i imaging they have a 400cc kit for 300ex. The 398 has a 350x head. Why are you guys so against using a 350x head? It's not like it is a yamaha part and that you will ruin your bike. The 350x head is just as reliable. And you can get alot of power out of it. You proably can find a 350x head at salavge yard for like 100 or 200 dollors.
you would proably also want to buy a after market cluch.

hope this helps.

There is a 410 kit out there but you are looking at some serious money, they have to bore 90 over, then stroke the crank another 70cc's or so.I do not recomend such a mod to the engine, 350cc would be the most i would go to keep it reliable.my total 333 kit suspension and all came to about 1,400.00, that is good considering the only stock part on my bike is the frame. And to answer your question yes i have raced a stock banshee, many times but i can only keep up with it through second gear after that it pulls away from me by about four bike lenghts in the 1/4 mile. If you have only read about the 400ex and have'nt tried one out yet, you get the impression from the magazines that it will run with a banshee, that is not the case at all; stock for stock the banshee will beat the 400 easily in every gear. So if your wondering why i can beat a 400ex and not a banshee that is why.

I have a 400ex and I ride with three other guys that have banshees. Also a slighty modified lt250r and a lt500r. When I race the banshees I lead for through 1st and 2cd then they pass me. They are too busy spinning and the 400ex is hooking up. But when we race up hill, me against the stock banshee he will beat me most of the time by about a bike to a bike and a half. But if I do everything right sometimes I can just barely win. When I drag raced the lt250r who is bored and ported but stock pipe, we were wheel for wheel at the end of a quarter mile. And it isn't riders because these guys are all better riders than I probably ever will be. Then there is the lt500r, I might as well just watch because when we race that is basicly what I am doing is whatching his dust land on my bike. So I say a 400ex though it may be a bit slower, it can still run with a banshee, though the banshee still has the edge and sixth gear.

most people who ride 2-strokes dont know that you have to feather the clutch unlike a 4-stroke where you just dump the clutch and go. when i am on a banshee i can race a 400ex with full throtel take off's and keep the 1st and 2nd gear spins in control just by feathering. But i know what you are saying because i see alot of 400's beating banshee's because of the rider not knowing how to make his or her machine operate at it's full potential.I did'nt mean to say that the 400 could'nt keep up with the banshee because it can keep up near it but, that banshee on cement is so fast usally i see banshee's ahead by at least a bike length. But im still a honda man forever!
