Default Water in exhaust

So, I was riding today and get stuck in the pond and the only way to get out was to be pulled backwards. After we drained the exhaust/air box and got the water out of the electrical plug, it cranks and runs fine. The oil at first looked milky, then it didn't.

Is it possible that water got into the motor thru the exhaust? Should I change the oil and be on the safe side?

Yeah, I would change it to be on the safe side. Besides, chaging the oil isn't hard at all, drain it, then refill it.

If the oil looked milky I hope you havn't ran it much. You could do serious damage. Run several quarts of oil through it until it comes out clean again.
