I just bought an 02 Rubicon and the previous owner shot the screen with a 50 cal. muzzleloader while deer hunting. Yeah I know!!!! Pretty dumb taking rest off your bike. Anyway the screen is unplugged and the bike will not shift, I have ordered the new screen and hope that this will fix the problem. Will the bike shift without the screen being hooked up and working? Any help would be great

 

As far as I know you need the screen - I just hope that when you get the screen that the Rubicon shifts - that is, was it working BEFORE the screen went???

 

Yes it did work even after he shot the screen, it wasn't until the screen got wet that the board fried and he unplugged it. The headlights would'nt go off and the neutral light stayed on. I hope it is not an angle sensor problem also, seems to be a lot of those problems on here and my bike runs very rough in reverse. Thanks for the reply.
