i own a 2002 300ex and i was in a hare scramble this weekend, which the start of the race you had to do a dead start, somehow my neutral light was not comin on and i could not get it started, i hate the fact that i cant start in 1st gear, is there any way around this?

All my Hondas will start in any gear with the clutch pulled in. It is for some reason not sensing that the clutch is pulled.

Yup. There should be a wire running from the clutch. Test it and see if it gets current downstream, when you pull the clutch in.

I have a 300ex and there should be 2 electric connectors going into the bottom right side of the cluch lever housing, these should both be connected or you will probably not be able to start even with the clutch in.
