Can this work?

what if i buy a edelbrock 440ex carb kit it comes with a 440 carb. can i just install it to my 400ex 2003 without having to tune anything. do i need to buy anything else before i put that carb on? or can i just put the carb on and it should work?

I ran one years ago, and found it very dissapointing! It was furious on the top end, but could not be tuned on the bottom very well. It had a bog off idle, that just would never go away.
And don't say I didn't know what I was doing. The Edelbrock factory is near where I live, and I took it over to them and even their tech guys couldn't get it right.......

i've got the 440 and i'm pretty happy w/ it.
mine is not 100% dialed and i do have a slight idle issue

nojoke what do you have done to your bike... if you're stock then you don't need the 440 version...
you need the Thumb Kit #3004 version of the performance carb
