Honda Tech Question: Front wheel not tracking straight
#1
Brand new to the site! YEP, Certified Newbie... Well gents, It took me twenty years, but I finally got a 350X. I was eighteen in 1987 and finally got enough cash together to buy my first new bike. I went to the Honda shop looking for an enduro and ended up with an XL250R. Sitting next to the 250 was a 350X, I thought about buying it instead of the two wheeler because I'd always wanted one. However, I thought it would be a better decision to get the 250,so I could ride it on the street. No complaints about the 250,it ran great and served me well until the day I sold it.
Ok fast forward 20 years. I just brought a 350x home and had to go to the end of the earth to get it.... I'm super excited about it and am going to put it as close to Honda spec as I can. Of course everyone thinks I'm crazy for getting the "Illegal Three Wheeler" I rode these bikes plenty as a kid and never had any problems.
I'ts just like anything else,if you take the time to learn how to ride it,you'll be OK.
The real reason I'm writing this post is that after riding the 350X for a little while today, I noticed that the front wheel wasn't tracking straight. I had to turn the bars a bit to get it to track straight. I don't think the forks or tree are bent.
I think I may have to loosen the bolts on the tree and shift the forks a bit, but I'm not sure.
If you have any suggestions, please post them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm sure this is one of many questions..
