I will be buying my first quad soon, amongst other atvs i have been looking at the mojave (my friend has one and I do like it) and the honda 250ex. My question is which is a better buy, which is faster, and all around better bike, I appreciate any responses seeing as how they may effect my purchase. Thanks

mojave

like comparing a pony to a race horse

mojave for what you want....

mind you i could be wrong

the 250ex hasn't even been released where i am yet

a good match to the mojave would be the 250x/300ex

I have a new 250EX. I would say it is a good kids/beginners machine, but if you aspire to anything beyond that, go for a full on sport machine. I would skip the Mojave. OK I've never ridden one, but they come out last on every magazine shootout I've ever seen. Seeing your thinking Mojave, you must already know how to shift a manual clutch, so I would take a good look at the 300 and 400EX.

I had a Mohave. It may not be the fastest quad but it is basically bulletproof.Remember just because a quad doesn't perform well in shootouts don't rule out a particular riders ability on any given machine.
